What's new

HOMER SIP Traces in Call History

FS PBX 2.1.2 connects Call History to HOMER 11, making captured SIP signaling available directly from a call's details.

Highlights

  • Open SIP Trace from Call History to view a SIP call-flow diagram.
  • Select a message to inspect its headers and body, with an expanded view for smaller screens.
  • Download a Wireshark-compatible PCAP or a TXT export of the captured messages.
  • Include related call legs identified by HOMER within the call's lookup window, across all displayed pages.
  • Configure and test the connection under System Settings → SIP Capture → Remote HOMER API.

The integration uses a HOMER HTTPS address and API token. Downloads contain SIP signaling; RTP audio is not included. Captures must already be available in HOMER.

Message Settings API

Manage messaging phone numbers and their shared extension access through the v1 API.

Highlights

  • List, retrieve, create, update, and delete Message Settings within an account.
  • Configure the phone number, provider, allowed extensions, email recipient, description, and enabled status.
  • Search settings and filter by provider or enabled status, with cursor-based pagination.
  • Convert national numbers to international format using the target account's country setting.
  • Receive a clear error for malformed JSON, including trailing commas.

The endpoints use /api/v1/domains/{domain_uuid}/message-settings. They manage FS PBX configuration; purchasing numbers and configuring provider accounts remain separate steps.

Better International Number Support

Phone-number handling now consistently uses the relevant account's country across phone numbers, messaging, fax, contacts, Call History, and voicemail notifications.

Highlights

  • Accept explicit international numbers with + and the country code.
  • Use the account country, or the country in Default Settings, when interpreting national numbers.
  • Improve phone-number creation, updates, imports, and caller-number routing conditions for countries outside the US and Canada.
  • Keep generated phone-number XML and the editable Rules view consistent.
  • Preserve short internal identifiers and dialplan patterns during phone-number normalization.

Syncthing Networking Repair

The update adds a repair for installations where Syncthing's default UDP listeners overlap the FreeSWITCH RTP port range.

Highlights

  • Detect overlapping Syncthing listeners before applying the repair.
  • Switch affected installations to TCP synchronization and disable the conflicting QUIC and local-discovery listeners.
  • Add persistent TCP port 22000 firewall access for identified peer servers.
  • Back up configuration before changes and attempt to restore the previous network settings if configuration or restart fails.
  • Use TCP networking and explicit peer addresses in the Syncthing installation workflow.

Improvements and fixes

  • FreeSWITCH Logs now opens with All local logs selected, including after resetting filters.
  • Whole-call log searches discover related call legs and SIP Call-IDs across local log rotations, including attempted legs without their own Call History record.
  • Improved parsing of log lines that begin with a call UUID and clearer separation between SIP packets and dialplan output.
  • Saving SIP Capture settings now reports which sections were saved and whether FreeSWITCH applied the capture settings successfully.
  • Improved recognition of configured inbound numbers from newer numbering ranges and avoided duplicate account-context actions when saving phone-number rules.
  • Continued retiring dependencies on legacy administration pages, with native installation support for Bridges, Call Block, Call Flows, Fax, FreeSWITCH Modules, and Music on Hold.
