📄️ Overview
Phone provisioning is the process of automating the setup, configuration, and management of physical VoIP phones. Instead of manually logging into every individual phone's web interface to type in settings by hand, FS PBX acts as a central management server that dictates how each phone should behave.
📄️ Phonebooks
Phonebooks let you push a directory to your desk phones. Your users see it on the phone under Contacts / Directory and can scroll or search it to place a call — with nothing typed into each phone by hand.
📄️ Polycom ZTP
Polycom ZTP, now called Poly Zero Touch by the vendor, is a cloud redirection service for supported Poly phones. It lets a new or factory-reset phone discover your FS PBX provisioning server without requiring someone to enter the provisioning URL at the phone or configure DHCP option 66 at the deployment site.
📄️ Yealink RPS
Yealink RPS is Yealink's Redirection and Provisioning Service. It stores a phone MAC address and the provisioning server assigned to that phone. On initial startup or after a factory reset, a supported Yealink phone can contact RPS and be redirected to FS PBX.
