SMS Notifications for Voicemails​

We're excited to announce a new feature for FS PBX: SMS notifications for new voicemails!

What's New​

  • Automatically sends SMS notifications to users when they receive a new voicemail.

  • Supports domain-specific message templates and sender IDs.

  • Currently supported SMS providers: Bandwidth, Sinch, Commio.

How to Enable​

  1. Update Default Settings
    Go to Default Settings → Voicemail section, and update the following:

    • sms_notifications_enabled

    • sms_notification_from_number

    • sms_notification_text

  2. Add Mobile Number to Mailbox

    • Go to Voicemails and select the desired mailbox.

    • Click Edit.

    • Under the Advanced section, find the field "Mobile Number to Receive Voicemail Notifications" and enter the recipient's mobile number.

  3. Add your outbound SMS number

    • Navigate to Advanced → Message Settings and add a new phone number. Use the same number you entered in Step 1.
    • Choose one of the available carriers and save.

You are now ready to send automated SMS notifications for new voicemails.

How to upgrade.​

Run php artisan app:update and then php artisan migrate
