What's new

Bandwidth Group MMS

Group messaging now supports eligible Bandwidth numbers alongside Inteliquent/Sinch.

Highlights

  • Send group MMS from eligible Bandwidth local numbers to up to 10 recipients.
  • Continue using Inteliquent/Sinch group messaging with up to 20 recipients.
  • Show recipient limits based on the selected sending number.
  • Keep inbound group messages in the correct conversation.
  • Track Bandwidth delivery results per recipient and identify failed recipients.
  • Prevent a partial delivery failure from causing an automatic resend to the entire group.

Bandwidth toll-free numbers do not support group messaging in FS PBX.

System Defaults for Outgoing Photos

Added System Settings → Messaging for managing the photo settings inherited by accounts.

Highlights

  • Configure JPEG conversion and photo-size reduction centrally.
  • See whether an account uses system defaults or its own settings.
  • Use Override Defaults in Account Settings → Messaging to customize an account.
  • Use Revert to Defaults to return an account to the system settings.
  • See clearer explanations of supported formats, compression behavior, and the 650 KB total attachment budget.

Improved Conversation History

Messages now opens conversations at the newest messages and loads earlier history as you scroll upward.

Highlights

  • Browse older messages without losing your reading position.
  • Keep your position when new messages arrive while reviewing history.
  • Show sender names where they help distinguish group participants and replies from a shared number.
  • Display photo previews with better sizing and open attachments from the conversation.

Improvements and fixes

  • Improved compatibility with HEIC photos produced by newer iPhones.
  • Fixed rendering of older message attachments stored in legacy formats.
  • Reduced repeated downloads of unchanged message attachments.
  • Improved group-message validation and error messages when starting a conversation.
  • Fixed account access lists for users whose own account has no separate explicit access grant.
  • Prevented app-credential QR codes from being stored in browser caches.
  • Expanded German and Italian translations and localized more messaging controls.
