What's new

Private and Shared Contacts

Contacts used in Fax and Messages can now be personal or shared with everyone in the account.

Highlights

  • Save new contacts privately by default.
  • Enable Share with everyone in this account when a contact should be available to the whole team.
  • See whether a contact is private or shared when choosing a recipient.
  • Prefer your personal contact when the same number also appears in shared contacts.
  • Keep existing contacts shared after upgrading.

Shared contacts can be viewed, edited, and deleted by other users in the same account. This change applies to Fax and Messages contacts; device Phonebooks retain their separate contact lists.

Automatic Phone Line Display Names

Added Line Display Name under System Settings → Devices and Account Settings → Devices to control how phone lines are labeled when their Display Name is blank.

Highlights

  • Build labels using {extension}, {name}, {first_name}, and {last_name}.
  • Use formats such as {extension} - {name} across an account.
  • Set a system default and override it for individual accounts.
  • Preview the automatic name in device forms.
  • Preserve names entered directly on individual lines.

The default remains the extension number. Existing saved display names remain in use; clear a line's Display Name to make it follow the automatic format.

Poly Trio 8800 and Provisioning Improvements

Added a native provisioning template for the Poly Trio 8800 conference phone and expanded configuration options for several existing phone families.

Highlights

  • Provision Trio 8800 devices through the native provisioning service.
  • Configure more Yealink options, including provisioning schedules, firmware URLs, regional tones, and remote-directory behavior on supported models.
  • Clear removed Yealink backup-server and outbound-proxy settings during provisioning.
  • Configure Grandstream HT80x V2 loop-current disconnect and polarity reversal settings.
  • Allow special characters in Grandstream HT80x V2 administrator passwords.

Improvements and fixes

  • Added clearer destination summaries to Phone Numbers and a Routing To column in Call Flows, with clearer indicators for missing or invalid destinations.
  • Improved the Call Flow editor's layout and routing controls.
  • Added Dynamic E911 Location to extension bulk editing and corrected location-header encoding.
  • Added a Ringotel option for unsolicited voicemail notifications and fixed editing connections that use multiple accounts.
  • Improved voicemail message-waiting updates after phone registration and FreeSWITCH startup.
  • Fixed the Sangoma P-Series voicemail button configuration, Polycom VVX alternate DNS and duplicate SRTP settings, and Yealink RPS serial-number submission on the first attempt.
  • Fixed international number formatting in Call History to use each record's account country, including detail views and exports.
  • Restored local recording cleanup after verified S3 uploads and added retries for interrupted cleanup.
  • Restricted Phone Control and click-to-dial API access to the user's assigned extension unless broader access is explicitly granted.
  • Fixed deleted groups leaving stale user memberships and permissions in active sessions.
  • Improved Speed Dial forms and user selection, generated greeting audio handling, and messaging photo-processing setup.
