What's new

Remote Phone Control

FS PBX can now remotely control a registered desk phone — put a call on hold, transfer it, start a conference, mute the line, answer a ringing call, toggle DND, or hang up — without touching the handset. Available both as a CLI command and a REST API.

New CLI commands

php artisan phone:control 101 example.com hold php artisan phone:control 101 example.com attended-transfer 200 php artisan phone:control 101 example.com --list-uas php artisan phone:control 101 example.com --list-calls

  • phone:click-to-dial — make a registered phone dial a number
  • phone:control — hold, resume, blind/attended transfer, conference, mute, DND, answer, and end calls on a phone already in progress

New REST API endpoints

MethodPathPermission
GET/api/v1/domains/{domain_uuid}/phone-control/targetsphone_control_view
GET/api/v1/domains/{domain_uuid}/phone-control/callsphone_control_view
POST/api/v1/domains/{domain_uuid}/phone-control/actionsphone_control_call
GET/api/v1/domains/{domain_uuid}/click-to-dial/targetsphone_control_view
POST/api/v1/domains/{domain_uuid}/click-to-dialphone_control_call

Supported phones

Vendor is auto-detected from the phone's registration. Support differs by vendor — see the support matrix in the docs.

  • Yealink — full support, including deterministic DND
  • Snom — full support, including remote answer
  • Poly Edge, plus Polycom VVX / Trio / CCX on UCS 6.4.2+ — full support via the phone's REST API (must be enabled in provisioning)
  • Grandstream, and any other unrecognized phone — hold, resume, transfer, conference, mute, and end-call still work, handled directly by FS PBX rather than the phone itself (screen won't reflect it, but the call state is real)
