What's new

FreeSWITCH 1.11.3 Readiness

FS PBX 2.0.1 includes updated installation and upgrade tooling for FreeSWITCH 1.11.3.

Highlights

  • Updated dependencies and build workflows for Debian 12 and Debian 13.
  • Automatic backups of existing FreeSWITCH configuration before installation.
  • Preserve custom settings, Variables, certificates, and existing runtime database configuration during upgrades.
  • Improved checks for required modules and shared libraries.
  • Keep FreeSWITCH running until the administrator performs a manual restart.

FreeSWITCH must be upgraded separately from FS PBX. Schedule the final restart during a maintenance window, as it interrupts active calls. See the [FreeSWITCH upgrade guide](https://www.fspbx.com/docs/freeswitch-upgrade/).

Contact Center Hold Audio Sequences

The updated Contact Center module lets you control exactly what callers hear while waiting in a queue.

Highlights

  • Build an ordered sequence of music, recordings, and a callback offer.
  • Start playback from the beginning for each caller entering the queue.
  • Use existing recordings, select individual Music on Hold files, or upload new clips.
  • Arrange clips and optionally limit their playback duration.
  • Preview individual clips or the complete sequence before saving.
  • Place the callback offer between clips.
  • Repeat the audio while callers wait.

Existing queues continue using continuous playback until Audio sequence is selected.

AI Agent Email Sender

AI agents now support an individual Email From Address for emails containing collected caller details and follow-up notes.

Leave the field blank to use the account or system sender address.

Configurable Park Key Choices

Added a shared park_key_count setting for device and Device Key Template editors.

Highlights

  • Configure between 1 and 99 park-key choices.
  • Set a system default or override it for an individual account.
  • Keep the existing default of 10 choices when no valid setting is configured.

Improvements and fixes

  • Preserve Contact Center agent availability during configuration reloads.
  • Improved synchronization when queue assignments reference missing or delayed queue and agent records.
  • Added pagination to device-import previews for easier handling of large imports.
  • Fixed bulk device updates when switching between Device Profiles and Device Key Templates.
  • Grandstream provisioning templates now honor configured NAT traversal and STUN server settings.
  • Improved table loading, filtering, sorting, and pagination across administration pages.
  • Improved background refresh behavior on Active Calls.
  • Expanded French, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese translations.
  • Added Recordings API documentation.
  • Corrected phone-number and ring-group API permissions and strengthened account access checks.

Upgrade notes

Hold-audio sequences require the accompanying Contact Center module update and the new database migration.

For redundant installations, run migrations independently on each database, include the new audio-configuration table in replication, and refresh both subscriptions. Prepared audio files must also replicate between servers before enabling sequence mode.
