What's new
Paging Groups
Added Applications → Paging Groups for sending one-way announcements to selected extensions by dialing a group number.
Highlights
- Choose Live paging or record a message and play it to the group after hanging up or pressing #.
- Use recorded paging to avoid feedback from nearby phones while speaking.
- Select the phones to page and optionally restrict which extensions can call the group.
- Skip phones already on a call or attempt to page them anyway.
- Play an optional double beep and recorded announcement before the page.
- Create, edit, enable, disable, and delete groups from a native FS PBX page.
Paging requires phones that support auto-answer. When paging a busy phone, the phone determines how to handle the additional call.
Extension Location for Dynamic E911
Added a Location field to the extension's caller ID settings for details such as a suite or floor.
Highlights
- Save location information separately for each extension.
- Include location headers in newly created standard emergency outbound routes when the calling extension has a location configured.
- Keep normal emergency routing available when the location is blank.
This feature requires carrier support and a compatible emergency-route configuration.
Improvements and fixes
- Fixed click-to-dial and generic phone-control calls to use the originating extension's outbound and emergency caller ID settings, including company defaults.
- Updated the default OpenAI voicemail transcription model to
gpt-transcribeand adjusted language handling for that model. - Updated call-summary model defaults.
- Restored missing Phonebooks navigation and added Paging Groups to the standard FS PBX menu while preserving existing labels and placement.
